We have a list of jobs that will need tackling this autumn, listed below. 

10.00 Start

11.30 Coffee and biscuits

12.30 Bacon an sausages in rolls in kitchen.

16.30 Doughnuts and coffee at the bonfire

PLEASE DO REPLY TO LET US KNOW NUMBERS FOR CATERING 🙂

Jobs have been identified, and you can choose where you think you can help. If you have tools appropriate to task, please bring them with you.  Clearing brambles, weeds and debris from around boats. Sweeping inside and out and putting burnable bits on the bonfire and non recyclables in skip. These are priorities.

Various members have volunteered to manage different jobs and you can report to whoever you like.

Jobs list

1) Move all firewood to outside dinghy store and build a ply shelter over. 
 (2 bags of firewood allowed inside to stoke fire These to be left full after each burning.) Tidy up and sweep kitchen / meeting room.                  I/C Steve

2) Move all recyclable wood from Dinghy store to mezzanine              I/C Keith

3) Reorganise Dinghy store and sweep up ( Label trailers and boats) I/C Keith

4) Begin roofing North side ( On hold til concrete boat moves)            I/C

5) Hedge trimming and Strimming ang Clearing                                   I/C Pete

6) Organising  “useful tools and items” section                                     I/C Brian

7)Maintenance and Continuance of guttering                                      I/C Anthony

8) Organise recycling, burning and efficient skip filling                         I/C 

9) Rescue of reusable mooring tackle and disosal of debris                 I/C

10) Provision of sustenance                                                                  I/C Bren

Notice of AGM; To All Members ( Shareholding and Associate Members) Please find below the agenda for the meeting. It is important for as many members as possible to attend this meeting so that you can support ACBO and give you views about the plans and priorities –we look forward to seeing you there.

  • Minutes of the last Annual General Meeting (2021)
  • Chairperson’s report
  • Treasurer’s Report and presentation of prepared financial statement.
  • Election of the Co-operative Board (Management Committee): There are 10 positions available including 2 representing former ACBOA interests /Associate members 

Existing members will be asked if they wish to stand again. If there are vacancies and more nominations for places on the committee then there will be elections for office.

  • Appointment of Accountant
  • Plans and Priorities for 2022/ 2023
  •  Date of the 4 Co-operative General Meetings and next AGM

September Social Monday 5thSept

Its time for our September meeting, and it is to be hoped that many of you can come. 

The bar will be open

Monday 5th September 8pm Wivenhoe Sailing Club

We would be happy to hear of any intrepid exploits during this summer season, and hope that some members may join the laying up cruise to Bradwell that is on 24th September. Dinner will be at the Green Man in Bradwell.

Please contact DAVE HAYES if you wish to go. He will need to know if you are going by boat , length, beam and draft. It is important that the marina knows who is coming to allocate berths.
