ACBOC has been invited to join in with Wivenhoe & Rowhedge Yacht Owners for their Gooseberry Pie Rally. full details and entry form are on the email from Brenda. Note Closing date 1st July for entries.
We will be meeting at WSC on Monday 4th July, at 8.15.
It would be nice to have a social meeting after such a long time. Do try and come along, the bar will be open.
We have our next ACBOC cruise coming up this month.
Saturday 30th July
Heybridge basin.
High Water 14.25.
Usually lock in 1 hour before .
Please contact Dave Hayes to book a berth and food.
1) There will be no social meeting on Monday 6th June as it’s Jubilee weekend and also ACBO first cruise of the season. Next meeting to be held on July 4 th at WSC.
2) PLEASE WASH OFF TRAILERS AFTER launch and recovery, as left in salt water they will seize up. The Spring storms moved boats onto the saltings, and dragged unstable moorings from their locations.
PLEASE take responsibility for checking your mooring tackle for wear, and moor your boat on suitable lines that are up to the job.
Helpful members have moved boats and given their time to help others, but many mishaps can be avoided with proper maintenance. Gradually boats are getting launched, and we are looking forward to a better season.
3) REMEMBER, Keeping your boat at the sheds or moored in the creek is dependent upon YOU having at least 3rd party insurance. Please make sure you have this in place.
Look forward to seeing you at either an ACBO cruise or at the social meeting in July.

Monday 4th April Wivenhoe Sailing Club, 19.45
The 2022 sailing season is almost here. To make it easier for us all to launch boats and dinghies we’ll be holding a slip clearing day on April 30th to remove the build up of silt from the slipway.
The more helpers we have the easier it will be, so come down, bring some wellies and get involved. Meet at the boat sheds at 11am, and as is customary a bacon butty brunch will be served afterwards.
So add April 30th 11am to your diaries and see you there.
We have our second Social meeting of 2022 at the Wivenhoe Sailing Club on Monday 7th March at 7.45 pm.
There will be a few updates on club activities for the year and a chance to share your boating plans.
Look forward to seeing you.
