Just a reminder that the first sailing event of ACBOC is this weekend to Tollesbury. A meal is booked for Saturday. Please confirm if you are sailing and/or will join the meal with Dave Hayes by SMS on 07968 630727.

The next social meeting will be at WSC on 1st July at 8pm.

A big thank you to the 14+ members who came to the sheds on a hot Sunday to help at the working party. It was good to see new members rolling their sleeves up too. There was lots of tidying up and rubbish sorting done and a couple of boats emptied and a new doorway created. Thanks to Bill and Brenda for organising splendid refreshments and Brenda producing coffee and doughnut and bacon and banger rolls to keep the workers happy. 

Reminder for anyone wanting to attend Toby meal on 3rd June. Do txt Dave Hayes if you are going to be there. No social meeting that night. …or something like that!

On the boat work page I have put my experience of rejuvenating an existing mooring using screw type sinkers. It includes costings and strategies which may be useful.

it’s that time of year again. You know you have missed it!

Sunday 12th May 10:00h at the sheds. Inside and outside tasks to be done include clearing and gardening. Details on the email.

Just a reminder that there will be a working party at the Sheds this coming Sunday, 12th May from 10am to 4pm. Bacon and sausage rolls will be available for the workers. If you have a strimmer that you can bring that would be useful. Most of the work will be clearing up around the sheds, cutting back grass, and replacing guttering.

Do let me (Anthony) know if you will be coming so we have an idea of the numbers for catering.

It seems such a long time time we met over a glass or two to discuss the season ahead. Even though it is a bank holiday, we will be holding a social meet up on Monday 6th May at Wivenhoe sailing club. Usual time!

I trust you are all planning and working hard for the new season ahead. Just a quick note to let you know that as the April social meeting falls on Easter Monday and so we have decided not to hold it. The next social meeting will therefore be on Bank Holiday Monday, 6th May at 8pm. We will gather at WSC as usual. We hope many of you can make that event.
