Slip clearing April 30th
The 2022 sailing season is almost here. To make it easier for us all to launch boats and dinghies we’ll be holding a slip clearing day on April 30th to remove the build up of silt from the slipway.
The more helpers we have the easier it will be, so come down, bring some wellies and get involved. Meet at the boat sheds at 11am, and as is customary a bacon butty brunch will be served afterwards.
So add April 30th 11am to your diaries and see you there.
March Social meeting
We have our second Social meeting of 2022 at the Wivenhoe Sailing Club on Monday 7th March at 7.45 pm.
There will be a few updates on club activities for the year and a chance to share your boating plans.
Look forward to seeing you.

Essential Navigation Courses at the Nottage
Do you enjoy, or do you know anyone who enjoys being on the water with friends and family but might want to learn a bit more about what is involved in messing about safely in boats?

The evening sessions are gently paced with time to discuss the topics informally and interactively. No prior experience is required, the topics covered will give you the knowledge you need to be a safe and useful crew member and will help you to assist the skipper in running the boat.It will also provide a sound basis for further learning should you wish to take on more responsibility afloat in the future.

Date MONDAY 17th January. Time 19:30 (7.30pm)
We do need to supply numbers and so if you would like to come please let DAVE HAYES know.
It will be nice to get back to normal, so do join us, put it on your calendar and contact Dave.

December meeting
Happily we can still meet at WSC on Monday 6th December at 7.45
This is the last meeting of 2021 and our next meeting will be 7 th February.
There will be a few festive nibbles provided to help the evening on its way, but as Omicron is looming over us, it would be sensible to do a lateral flow test before attending.
Looking forward to seeing you there
